Sam is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor who completed her Bachelor’s at the University of Georgia in Human Development and Family Science, and her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Divine Mercy University. Sam believes that trust and encouragement are essentials in therapy. She hopes to empower individuals to make positive change in their lives, both in thought and deed. She cultivates a space where the individual’s strengths and goals meet with evidence-based practices, including techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Mindfulness. She has experience working with crisis and trauma counseling, community mental health, and using a holistic model of care. Sam is passionate about helping people across the lifespan find flourishing in the season and stage where they are. Areas of special interest include spirituality and religion, posttraumatic growth, peripartum mental health, attachment issues, developmental concerns, stress, grief, anxiety, and depression.
Sam works under the clinical supervision of Alzi Faubion, LPC, CPCS, RPT-S.
