Kayla Ivory, APC

Kayla is licensed as an Associate Professional Counselor. She obtained her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lipscomb University, and her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, with minors in Spanish and Studio Art, from Samford University. She has worked with clients who are experiencing many different mental health-related concerns, including but not limited to: anxiety disorders, ADHD, stress, interpersonal relationship concerns, trauma, gender/identity concerns, and difficulty with self-esteem.

Kayla creates a safe and compassionate counseling environment to help clients feel heard and known. She demonstrates empathy and curiosity to understand each client’s life story, gently helping each person to find meaning and gain insight from their life experiences. Kayla utilizes an integrative approach in order to best meet each client’s therapeutic goals and needs, combining several theories of counseling such as Existential-Humanistic Therapy, Adlerian Theory, Attachment Theory, Cognitive Therapy, and mindfulness techniques.

Kayla is practicing under the supervision of Alzi Faubion, LPC, CPCS, RPT-S.
