Julie is a Licensed Professional Counselor and obtained a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Counseling with a specialization in Child and Adolescent Psychology.  Julie’s expertise in marriage and family counseling, with a specialization in child and adolescent psychology, is commendable. She works with individuals, families, adolescents, and adults, addressing attachment trauma that can span a lifetime. Childhood wounds often manifest in present relationships, and Julie focuses on helping foster individuals find emotional balance as these injuries can lead to depression, anxiety, and personality disorders. Notably, she collaborates with adoptive parents and families, even in chaotic home environments affected by out-of-control behaviors.

Julie’s training includes being a foundational Theraplay practitioner, which emphasizes attachment, self-esteem, trust, and joyful engagement. Additionally, she is a trained TBRI (Trust-Based Relational Intervention) therapist, providing support to children from challenging backgrounds. Her expertise extends to DNMS (Developmental Needs Meeting Strategy), assisting both adults and children with attachment injuries. Furthermore, Julie is certified in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), an eight-phase protocol that aids individuals in reprocessing traumatic experiences.
