Cindy Merrick, LCSW

Cindy has a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Southern Indiana.  She has spent the past 7 years working with families, individuals, and couples assisting clients into recovery, self-actualization, growth, and empowerment.  Cindy is passionate about serving clients who have experienced trauma in their lives.  She has an in-depth understanding of the impact of trauma and the path to recovery.   She enjoys working with children who have challenging behaviors and assisting families to learn how to heal and to find peace in the home. Cindy provides Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) to help improve trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety, phobias, obsessive compulsive disorder, substance abuse, and chronic pain.  ART is a very brief therapy, usually requiring 1 to 5 treatment sessions.

Cindy is a lively therapist who seeks to create a warm, supportive, and trusting environment so that clients feel comfortable and accepted as they move through the therapeutic process at their own pace.  She also believes that there are certainly times when humor, laughter, and positivity are an important part of that process.
