Andreia Chapman, APC

Andreia is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor with a BS in Psychology and a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of West Georgia. She has experience working in community and educational settings with groups and individual clients from various stages of life and development. She has worked with clients experiencing a wide range of mental health concerns, like generalized anxiety, depression, social anxiety, disordered eating, self-harm, trauma, conflict in interpersonal relationships, suicidality, grief, and issues related to career exploration.

Utilizing a Client-Centered approach, which sees the client as the expert of their own life and an equal partner in the therapeutic process, she strives to create a safe space where the client feels unconditionally accepted and free to explore their thoughts, feelings, emotions, and behaviors. Her goal is empowering clients to work towards removing the barriers causing suffering and preventing them from reaching their full potential. Although her work is based on a Client-Centered approach, she utilizes interventions from different theoretical orientations according to their efficacy in meeting the client’s goals, as demonstrated by evidence-based research.

When not serving as a therapist, she likes spending time with her family cooking, doing outdoor activities, and playing with her cats, dogs, fish, chickens, and turkeys.

Andreia is practicing under the supervision of Alzi Faubion, LPC, CPCS, RPT-S.
